Ayurveda & Herbal Medicine
Individual consultations and constitutional assessments are available in person, over the phone and by Skype. Recommendations may include herbal support as well as dietary and lifestyle changes.
Emphasis is given to understanding the particulars of one’s individual constitution and working with the greater energies of the season to bring about overall balance.
In addition to individual consultations, group classes are available regularly. Past workshops have included the following subjects: “Intro to Ayurveda,” ”Agni: the Digestive Fire,” “Dinacharya: Daily Routines for Health,” “Navigating the Postpartum Period: for Moms and Moms-to-Be,” “Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Mom.”
Additionally, Sri teaches a series of cooking classes called Traditional Cooking 101. This series includes “Healing with Bone Broth and Jook,” “Refining Grain and Bean Prep for Better Digestion,” “Ferments: Making Yogurt and Pickles” and an upcoming workshop, “Bread and Butter: Making and Using Homemade Sourdough Starter and Homemade Butter.”
Yoga
Sri’s teaches Hatha and Adi-Yoga. Her classes focus the student on the use of traditional yogic technologies of self-discovery. Classes are structured to bring about a sense of balance and wellbeing, especially with respect to connecting to the rhythms of nature, the time of day, the seasons.
Perinatal Support
Sri offers one-on-one sessions as well as workshops designed to help women and their families during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Fertility concerns as well as assistance with the postpartum period includes herbs, lactation teas, healing stiz baths, balms, yoga recommendations and even meal preparation (yes, including placenta, if desired!).
